Job summary

Thuston Foods is seeking an Assistant Night Shipping Manager in Wallingford, CT to oversee and coordinate nightly warehouse activities. You will supervise staff, train teams, enforce food safety standards, and maintain safe operations within the warehouse.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and familiarity with warehouse equipment, with a focus on safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. This is an on-site position with scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience preferred.
• Business/Management/Logistics degree preferred.
• Knowledge of NCR warehouse management system is preferred.
• Material Handling Equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise warehouse staff and coordinate daily activities for Night Shipping operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and OSHA standards in the warehouse.
• Promote safety procedures and a culture of safety-first in the facility.
• Maintain records and coordinate with other departments and customers.
• Liaise with Warehouse Operations Managers to continuously improve processes.
• Schedule flexibility and readiness to perform additional duties as needed.
