Job summary

Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency in Oregon is seeking a dedicated program assistant to support youth services and shelter operations. You will supervise residents, coordinate with case managers, and help with transportation and daily duties to maintain a safe, supportive environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, several years in fast-paced public-facing roles, and preferred experience with youth and trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Four or more years of work or volunteering experience in fast-paced customer service, healthcare, education, social or community services or related public-facing sectors; or equivalent combination of education, experience and training may be accepted.
• College coursework in social sciences or related human services preferred but not required.
• Preference for candidates with work or volunteer experience with special needs populations and/or youth.

Responsibilities

• Serves as primary point of contact for respective work shift.
• Trains incoming staff and volunteers on duties, processes, and policies.
• Provides supervision to clients, including teaching independent living skills and goal setting.
• Provides client transportation to school, appointments, and outings.
• Facilitates communication between Case Managers, Site Specialists and volunteers.
• Assists with intake, enrollment, and shelter placement documentation and eligibility.
