Job summary

Vestas Windsor production facility is seeking a Production Team Member for 12-hour night shifts (6pm-6am) to help manufacture wind turbine blades from fiberglass and other materials. The team supports the V163-4.5 MW turbine and the 2 MW platform on a large campus serving North America.

Responsibilities include operating equipment safely, following work instructions, lifting and moving materials, and meeting daily production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of work history in a fast-paced, physical environment, manufacturing preferred.
• Must communicate effectively in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Basic system skills—Microsoft Office, SAP and Apriso preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment with a strong commitment to safety protocols.
• Adhere to Work Instructions and assemble components such as bolts, screws, shafts, or bearings into a complete assembly.
• Exceed production benchmarks by completing tasks within the designated timeframe.
• Lift, position, and move materials from work areas.
• Load, stack and transport materials by hand, truck, crane or jib.
• Read and comprehend Work Process Instructions and translate to task performance.
• Ad hoc duties as assigned.
