Job summary

Valmont Industries in Jasper, TN is seeking a Fitter/Welder for night shifts to lay out, fit, and weld components used in utility poles and supporting structures. You will read blueprints, perform precise welds, and work safely to meet production goals.

You will operate hand tools and basic measuring devices, maintain equipment, and comply with safety standards while coordinating with teammates under supervision of the Shift Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must pass 1G weld test and read blueprints.
• Strong math and measurement skills with tape measure proficiency.
• Knowledge of quality standards and safety procedures.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• AWS certification SAW/GMAW is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, align, and weld metal components for poles and structures.
• Read blueprints and ensure proper fit-up.
• Perform welding per procedures and safety standards.
• Operate hand tools, measuring devices, and cranes.
• Maintain tools and participate in safety programs.
• Prepare components for welding and ensure deadlines.
