You will verify dimensions, tack weld before final welds, and operate overhead cranes safely. Ideal candidates have 1+ year of layout or fitting experience, can read blueprints and tape measures, and are comfortable with overhead cranes and cutting tools.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of layout or fitting experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, and layout tools.
• Familiarity with tack welding and fabrication processes.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, aligning, and fitting steel parts according to blueprints and shop drawings.
• Tack welding components prior to final weld.
• Measuring and verifying dimensions for accuracy.
• Operating overhead cranes and hand/power tools safely.
• Maintaining a clean, organized work area.
• Following all safety protocols and contributing to a high-performing team.
