Valmont Industries in Brenham, TX is seeking a Small Parts Welder for the Night shift. The role involves set-up and assembly of pole shafts using GMAW welding, reading drawings, and using a plasma torch and various hand tools.

Expect a Monday–Friday night schedule with potential overtime and $24.47/hr base plus $1 shift differential. Starting pay is $24.47/hr with step increases and potential discretionary bonus; applicants should have welding training or 6 months related experience and be able

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English.
• Ability to use common manufacturing math.
• 6 months welding experience or completion of a welding program.
• Must pass GMAW 1-G tests and maintain certification.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; additional welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welds and tack welds small components to poles using GMAW.
• Reads drawings to assemble pole components and uses a jib crane for positioning.
• Measures distances and angles with tapes, levels, squares; follows safety rules.
• Operates plasma torch for cutting and participates in quality checks.
• Maintains production pace and reports training or safety needs to supervision.
