Job summary

Corning is seeking a Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor to lead logistics operations including shipping, receiving, and packaging at one of our cable manufacturing facilities in Winston-Salem, NC. This role carries direct supervisory responsibility for hourly associates and contingent workforce, with opportunities to grow and progress across the organization.

A Bachelor's degree is required, with 3+ years in production, 5+ years in logistics, and 3+ years in supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• 3+ years of experience in a production environment.
• 5+ years of logistics, shipping, and/or receiving experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• SAP system knowledge with a focus on shipping and inventory functions.
• Demonstrated Lean manufacturing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, efficient night shift operations across warehouse, shipping, and receiving areas; proactively identify and report unsafe conditions to maintain a safe work environment
• Direct shipping, receiving, and packaging activities to meet operational goals for quality, cost, and on-time performance; develop, train, and coach team members to drive accountability for individual and team objectives
• Manage employee time and attendance to support accurate and timely payroll processing
• Maintain metric tracking and reporting for shipping and receiving performance and costs
• Ensure accuracy of raw material and finished goods inventory; oversee inventory management processes and reporting
• Ability to work 12 hour rotational night shift; this position requires flexibility and will include hours during night, day and weekend shifts
• Travel: <5% domestic travel
