Job summary

Corning Inc. in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a manufacturing supervisor to optimize cable manufacturing processes, coordinate staffing, and ensure shift-to-shift continuity. You will monitor safety, plan product flow, and drive on-time production across the plant.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Previous leadership experience (preferred in a manufacturing/ production environment).

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and housekeeping procedures on the manufacturing floor.
• Organize personnel to optimize plant output.
• Plan and communicate product flow to maximize output.
• Monitor production plan compliance and adjust as needed.
• Diligently manage non-conforming inventory with QA, engineering, scheduling.
• Coordinate remakes, expediting, or special orders.
• Track OOF and disposition items to support scheduling.
• Determine need for additional support to meet production.
• Ensure Autonomous Care and Visual KPI entry.
• Provide coverage for other departments as needed.
• Manage raw materials in PSA for accuracy and remnant use.
• Provide daily production status reports.
• All other duties as assigned.
