Job summary

Corning Incorporated in Newton, NC is seeking an Operations Team Leader to oversee night-shift cable production, leading a team of 30-40 hourly associates and 2-3 Operations Coordinators with a focus on safety, performance, and continuous improvement.

You will drive schedules, staffing, and equipment choices to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency, and develop training plans while upholding 5S and ISO standards and guiding kaizen initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a manufacturing-related field or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, with 2–3 years of supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated initiative, ability to direct others, and drive for results.
• Experience performing root cause analysis and problem resolution in a fast-paced environment.
• Engineering, Technology, Business, or Physical sciences degree.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all plant levels.

• Own shift safety — ensure PPE compliance and adhere to procedures.
• Drive production performance through scheduling, staffing, and equipment decisions.
