Job summary

Corning Incorporated in North Carolina seeks a Supervisory leader for cable operations and warehouse, overseeing 30-70 hourly associates and 4-6 coordinators with shift flexibility. The role is part of the TCP Leadership team and offers progression into Facilities, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

The position requires a BS in science with 1+ years’ manufacturing experience or 3+ years in manufacturing; emphasis on safety, coaching, continuous improvement, ISO standards, and lean methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science with 1+ years’ experience in manufacturing or 3+ years in manufacturing.
• Ability to lead, train, and coach 30-70 hourly associates and 4-6 coordinators.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and drive problem resolution.
• Proficient in Excel and Word.
• Engineering or technical degree and 2-3 years supervisory experience (desired).

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for safe work practices and a safe environment.
• Plan production schedules for product induction, equipment efficiency, and materials.
• Develop, train, and coach employees to improve performance.
• Lead teams to achieve quality, cost, and delivery goals.
• Manage staffing, machine assignments, and flow for optimal throughput.
• Lead Lean projects and continuous improvement in the plant.
• Implement ISO procedures and document changes.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve yield.
