Job summary

Home Chef in Maryland is seeking an Operations & Warehouse Supervisor for the night shift to lead the warehouse and ops team, ensuring tasks are executed safely and efficiently. The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with production, and strict adherence to GMPs and safety programs while driving continuous improvement.

The supervisor will manage 5–10 staff, ensure WMS accuracy, coach performance, and monitor attendance to maintain high standards and safety on the shift.

Qualifications

• General high school degree, or equivalent (GED).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Computer proficiency to execute transactions and enter counts/corrections.
• Ability to use handheld data logging equipment.
• Must have supervised at least 5-10 employees.
• 2+ years of warehouse leadership experience.
• 5S and lean manufacturing principles are highly desired.
• Employees must be familiar with and certified to use all Powered Industrial Truck equipment within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Oversee core warehouse functions and ensure compliance with standard procedures daily.
• Maintain layout and organization of drop zones and warehouse spaces; promote a safe workplace.
• Utilize WMS for product moves; verify production needs and guide the team.
• Communicate changes to products required for production to preclude errors or stops.
• Lead and develop warehouse leads and associates; audit and coach performance.
• Collaborate with production management to resolve issues impacting efficiency.
• Conduct end-of-shift walkthroughs and document handoffs and clean-up.
