Job summary

FedEx Logistics in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking a Warehouse Operations Associate to support CFS/FTZ distribution and cross-border activities under supervision. You will load/unload freight, operate MHE, receive and sort inventory, and maintain safety and compliance while using WMS and RF devices.

The role requires a HS Diploma/GED and warehouse experience; familiarity with freight forwarding operations is a plus. Night shift Tue–Sat 10:00pm–7:00am CST, on-site, with overtime potential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• One (1) of relevant Warehouse or related experience.
• One (1) of International Freight Forwarding Warehouse Operations experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of distribution activities.
• Excellent communication and comprehension skills.
• Excellent organizational skills for freight compliance.
• Ability to be certified on all Machine Handling Equipment (MHEs) within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload floor loads or palletized freight on and off trucks.
• Operate forklift, pallet jacks, pickers and reach-trucks safely.
• Receive and sort inventories by SKU, Customer, PO#; process damage exceptions.
• Operate RF/Bluetooth handheld devices; use WMS systems.
• Handle and sort returns; log inbound freight; input in WMS.
• Reconcile paperwork and cargo on Shipping & Receiving; lead cycle counts.
• Direct temporary labor; set up accounts in WMS; monitor safety.
