Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor 2 in Elk Grove Village, IL to direct and promote continuous improvement in Distribution Operations. You will manage 1–15 staff, implement SOPs, and ensure safe, compliant operations while maximizing efficiency.

The role requires leadership in a fast-paced freight environment and close collaboration with distribution management. You will oversee air export gateway operations, ensure carrier allocations, and maintain daily records and reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 year associates or college degree preferred/equivalent in business.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in Distribution, Warehousing, Shipping, or International Freight Forwarding, or Transportation Industry.
• Strong knowledge of International and Domestic Distribution Operational activities.
• Minimum 1 year leadership role.
• Strong management, human relations, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety awareness in an operational division.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs regularly.
• Knowledge in WMS-EDI within Distribution industry.
• Certified on all Machine Handling Equipment (MHEs) within the facility.
• TSA Certified to operate within a CCSF if applicable.
• Strong knowledge of CFS and FTZ operations (site specific).
• Strong knowledge of IATA, IMDG and 49CFR DG Regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and control input, movement, process/sort, and output of operations to ensure high service levels at minimal cost.
• Directly manage 1 to 15 direct reports and staff development.
• Recommend workflow improvements to management for efficiency gains.
• Implement FedEx SOPs across Distribution Operations.
• Oversee safety and security of distribution inventory and staff.
• Maintain inventory, payroll, performance reviews and records per guidelines.
• Communicate issues affecting service levels to management.
• Ensure carrier allocations and gatekeeping for air export gateway (site specific).
• Coordinate cargo handling, screening, and carrier lockouts (site specific).
• Lead daily briefings and enforce disciplinary procedures.
