Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Registered Nurse RN for the Trauma II Emergency Department. This 12-hour night shift role covers three shifts per week from 6pm to 6:30am with rotating weekends and holidays.

The RN will deliver patient-centered care within the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to implement care plans and ensure safety. The position includes career development and Magnet-recognized practice opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from school of nursing.
• Licensure / Certification: Current Ohio RN license.
• Experience: Casual RNs require 2 years of experience.
• Residency: New grads with <1 year participate in Nurse Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care, ensures patient safety, and promotes evidence-based practice.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care; collaborates with patient and family to develop a plan of care.
• Communicates pertinent information to the care team in a timely manner.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately per standards.
• Assumes accountability for care provided by others as appropriate.
