Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Dublin, OH seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-hour night shift in the new Emergency Department. This full-time Staff RN role requires ED experience and includes three night shifts per week (7pm–7:30am) with every third weekend and rotating holidays.

The RN will provide comprehensive care, collaborate with the care team, document accurately, and support evidence-based practice within the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from school of nursing.
• Licensure: Current license to practice as an RN in Ohio.
• Experience: 2 years for casual RNs; Nurse Residency for new grads.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care, ensures patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care and develops a plan with patient and family.
• Communicates pertinent information to the team and keeps patient/family updated.
• Documents assessments, interventions and outcomes according to policy.
• Assumes responsibility for care provided and documented by others as appropriate.
