Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Trauma II Emergency Department. This Staff RN works three 12-hour shifts per week (Noon–12:30am) with rotating weekends and holidays, providing bedside care in a high-acuity setting.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from nursing program.
• Current license to practice as RN in Ohio.
• Casual RNs require 2 years of experience.
• New grads may enroll in Nurse Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and ensure patient safety.
• Assess and evaluate patient care for assigned group.
• Collaborate with patient and family to develop care plan.
• Communicate pertinent information to the care team promptly.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately.
• Accept responsibility for care provided and documented by others as appropriate.
