Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Dublin, OH seeks an ED Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-hour night shift. The Staff RN will work three 12-hour nights weekly (7pm–7:30am) with every third weekend and rotating holidays in the new Emergency Department.

Experience in an emergency department is preferred. The role emphasizes patient safety, evidence-based care, teamwork, documentation accuracy, and adherence to organizational standards and the Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Graduate from school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• 2 years of experience required for Casual RNs.
• New graduate nurses with less than one year of clinical experience are enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care and ensures patient safety, promoting evidence-based practice and quality initiatives.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group of patients and develops a plan of care with patient/family.
• Communicates pertinent information to team members in a timely manner and keeps patient/family updated.
• Documents assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately and in accordance with standards and policies.
• Assumes responsibility for care provided and documented by others as appropriate.
