Job summary

Virtua Health in Mount Holly, NJ, seeks a part-time Telemetry Technician to monitor ECGs and interpret rhythms under RN supervision. This on-site role involves night shifts (12 hours) with a 24-hour weekly commitment, requiring basic telemetry skills and adherence to safety protocols.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 months of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work collaboratively with nurses and the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months previous healthcare monitor experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dysrhythmia and heart blocks; SPO2 monitoring and alarm response preferred.
• Strong organizational and interprofessional skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Continuously observes and interprets ECG monitors.
• Identifies and communicates rhythm changes to the RN; notifies staff of monitor issues.
• Documents calculations and interpretations on required forms.
• Adheres to standard precautions and patient safety principles when handling equipment.
• Records information on forms and participates in orientation and performance improvement activities.
