Job summary

Virtua Health in Burlington, NJ is seeking a part-time Telemetry Technician to monitor ECGs and support the care team during the night shift. Under RN direction, you will observe ECG monitors, document rhythm interpretations, and communicate changes to nursing staff.

Qualifications

• 3-6 months previous experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dysrhythmia and heart blocks and SPO2 monitoring preferred.
• Strong organizational and interprofessional skills.
• Ability to determine appropriate action in complex situations.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Continuously observes and interprets ECG monitors.
• Identifies and responds to ECG changes; notifies RN of changes and monitor issues.
• Documents calculations and interpretations on required forms.
• Demonstrates safety principles and uses equipment correctly.
• Records information on forms in the department as needed.
• Assists with orientation and performance improvement activities.
