Qualifications

• Experience with ECG monitoring and rhythm interpretation preferred.
• Knowledge of heart blocks and basic dysrhythmia.
• Familiarity with SPO2 monitoring and alarm response.
• Strong organizational and interprofessional collaboration skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Continuously observes and interprets ECG monitors and communicates changes to the RN.
• Notifies nursing staff of monitor problems and documents interpretations.
• Records calculations and interpretations on required forms.
• Adheres to standard precautions and patient safety principles when handling equipment.
• Assists with orientation and supports performance improvement activities.
