Job summary

UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital in Longmont, CO seeks a Surgical Technician for full-time night shifts. The role supports safe, efficient surgical procedures on site with a pay range of $27.61–$41.41 per hour, based on experience. The position lists required licensure and a high school diploma or GED with BLS certification.

Responsibilities include preparing the operating room, assisting with positioning and instrument handling, and specimen processing. Onsite only, no remote option.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or military trained is required.
• Must have State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist licensure/certification and BLS.
• Minimum 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
• BLS/CPR certification through AHA or Red Cross and valid through start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Ensure equipment and instruments are in good working order; assist with patient transport and positioning.
• Pass instruments to the physician during surgery and track instrument/location counts.
• Receive and process specimens for lab delivery.
• Maintain critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
