Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team in Wheat Ridge, CO. The role supports surgical operations under RN supervision, participates in safety plans, and advances within the Surgical Technologist levels II or III.

Full-time, 40 hours/week, night shift with 10% evening and 15% night differentials. Opportunities for professional growth and PEAK education benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Completion of accredited Operating Room Technician program (ORT) or recent completion of non-accredited program within 6 months.
• Two years of scrub tech experience in hospital or military surgical services within the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Ensure room and all surgical items meet sterilization criteria.
• Maintain sterile field and safe environment.
• Prepare room and instruments for surgical procedure.
• May assist with sterile processing.
• Assist surgical staff during procedures within scope of practice.
• After procedure, clean room and prepare for next procedure.
• Identify emergencies and exercise judgment to respond appropriately.
