Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating rooms. You will maintain the sterile field, prepare rooms and instruments, assist the surgical team, and respond to emergencies under supervision of the RN and Surgical Services leadership.

The role offers full-time hours, night shift with a 10% evening and 15% night differential, and pathway opportunities to higher levels. Colorado registration and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician program (ORT).
• Or graduated from a non-accredited surgical tech program within the past six months.
• Two years of scrub tech experience in hospital or military surgical services.
• Colorado Surgical Technologists must be registered to practice.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile field and safe environment.
• Prepares room and instruments for surgical procedure.
• Assists surgical staff during the procedure within scope of practice.
• Post-procedure, cleans room and prepares for next procedure.
• Identifies emergency situations and acts to respond appropriately.
• Ensures room and surgical items meet sterilization criteria.
