Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership professional to supervise day-to-day operations across multiple departments. You will mentor and coach team members, drive customer service excellence, and manage staffing to meet store needs while upholding company standards.

The role focuses on maintaining a positive store image with efficient operations, training, and safety compliance, while delivering sales growth and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in meat, bakery, produce or deli helpful.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and teach sales techniques.
• Proven ability to mentor team members and ensure safety.
• Completion of required certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image through courteous, friendly service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning by developing career paths and identifying development needs.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and discharge decisions when needed.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and controlling shrink in the department.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings.
