Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leader to plan, direct and supervise team members across departments, driving customer service and store performance. You will staff, hire and mentor, ensuring training is completed and goals are met while maintaining Meijer standards.

You’ll be responsible for P&L, sales, shrink reduction and safety, while promoting a positive company image and Meijer Friendly Initiative. Join a family company focused on growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Experience in staffing, hiring and training.
• Ability to analyze financial information and make decisions.
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to lead teams and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet sales goals and customerService standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and career paths for team members.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and make recommendations on terminations.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and controlling shrink.
• Ensure safety and Meijer policies are followed; maintain store appearance and standards.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and conversations.
• Ensure team training completion and thorough customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
