Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in various store areas are helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with the team.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image by delivering courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development needs.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions and makes recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Mentors and coaches the team to exceed sales goals and maintain Meijer standards.
• Ensures team is trained in all aspects of their jobs and keeps up with required training.
• Spends majority of time in-store communicating with customers and team members.
• Promotes a safe work environment and maintains reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
