Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a Night Shift Sterilization Tech to perform decontamination, assembly and sterilization to support the OR and nursing staff. You will work with Steam/ETO/Hydrogen peroxide systems and report equipment issues promptly.

The role requires attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work the hours specified.
• Visual acuity adequate to perform duties and communicate effectively.
• High School or GED Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination, assembly and sterilization according to Infection Control and QA guidelines.
• Operates steam, ETO and hydrogen peroxide sterilizers and related equipment.
• Uses computer to access information and communicates with team.
• Reports broken or malfunctioning instruments to supervisor.
• Uses desktop and handheld devices for tracking and decontamination tasks.
• Answers phones and meets customers' needs professionally.
