Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, sterilization and storage of reusable instruments for inpatient and outpatient surgery.

The ideal candidate shows strong attention to detail, quick learning ability, and may pursue CRCST or CSPDT certification. This is a full-time role with day shifts; some weekends may occur and differential pay applies for evening/night shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, and package surgical instruments and sets.
• Operate sterilization equipment (cart washer, washer/disinfectors, steam sterilizers, heat sealers, Sterris).
• Prepare case carts and respond to instrumentation requests.
• Order and restock the surgery department with supplies.
