Job summary

Veolia in San Francisco is seeking a Stationary Engineer to provide operations and maintenance support for building systems under the contract with the client. You will repair, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on boilers, HVAC, pumps, piping, electrical systems, and related equipment.

This union-position reports to the Chief Engineer under Local 39; extensive on-site work, safety compliance, and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Local 39 Apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the implementation of the above.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, install, replace and repair boilers, heating pumps, valves and lines for steam distribution.
  • Operate, maintain, install, replace and repair refrigerant compressors, condensers, evaporators and related HVAC systems.
  • Maintain pumps for brines and other secondary refrigerants and all associated valves and lines.
  • Operate and maintain air compressors and air control devices.
  • Maintain natural and manufactured gas distribution lines and related equipment.
  • Manage water filtration, piping, pumps, sinks and sprinkler systems as part of water distribution.
