RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Security Sergeant for the Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ on the night shift. The role focuses on maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff, with responsibilities including patrols, access control, weapon screenings, and emergency response.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid NJ Driver's License, and SORA security officer registration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of customer service or security experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain SORA security officer license and de-escalation certification within 90 days of hire.
• Valid New Jersey Driver's License required; out-of-state license must be transferred within 60 days.
• Experience with keyboarding and data entry; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Patrol indoor and outdoor areas to maintain a safe environment.
• Monitor entrances and access control systems; address security concerns.
• Provide professional customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.
• Perform weapon screenings and control access to restricted areas.
• Respond to emergencies and security incidents; assist in crisis de-escalation.
• Complete incident reports and data entry using standard computer systems.
