Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Security Officer to protect people, property, and operations at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. You will patrol the facility, monitor access points, and respond to emergencies with professionalism and compassionate service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, NJ driver’s license, and SORA license, with certification in de-escalation within 90 days. Hours are 3:00pm-11:30pm, full-time, hourly pay range $20.14–$24.03.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid New Jersey Driver's License required.
• Candidate must have and maintain a valid New Jersey SORA security officer license.
• Out-of-state driver license must be transferred within 60 days of hire.
• Certification in de-escalation training within 90 days of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol indoor and outdoor facility areas and surrounding grounds.
• Monitor entrances and access control systems and respond to security concerns.
• Provide professional customer service while enforcing facility policies.
• Perform weapon screenings and control access to designated areas.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in crisis de-escalation.
• Complete incident reports and data entry using computer systems and MS Office.
