Intermountain Health's Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide advanced care under physician orders. You will perform diagnostic tests, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize patient outcomes.

The role offers a full-time 36-hour schedule with night shifts and shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends, plus a bonus program up to $15,000 (and $5,000 with less than 1 year experience).

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of NBRC approved Respiratory Therapist program from an accredited institution.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT).
• Current license as Registered Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.

Aufgaben

• Performs, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic testing procedures; obtains arterial gases; oversees equipment; initiates respiratory protocols and interventions based on assessments.
• Administers medications safely; evaluates effects and communicates patient progress to staff and physicians.
• Maintains awareness of patient condition; communicates with physicians/nurses; educates patients and families on self-care.
• Completes documentation per standards; monitors supplies/equipment; ensures productivity standards.
• Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives; contributes ideas in meetings; supports department goals.
• Promotes respiratory care as a resource and mentor; participates in quality improvement and research activities.
• May float to other departments within competency; may be placed on-call.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
