Job summary

Mercy South is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy under physician orders. You will consult with physicians regarding therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for medical staff.

The role includes rotating NICU assignments with night shift in a full-time schedule; a $20,000 bonus is offered for RRTs. A background in critical care is preferred and ACLS certification is valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Must hold current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC).
• PALS is required for ER.
• ACLS preferred.
• Prefer critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
