Intermountain Health is hiring a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for American Fork Hospital. The role provides advanced respiratory care, supports CRT staff, and may lead special clinical projects as directed by leadership.

The position requires NBRC-approved education, RRT credential, state licensure, BLS, and other certifications such as PALS/ACLS/NRP. Part-time, night shift, 24 hours per week. Benefits eligible and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a NBRC approved Respiratory Therapist program from an accredited institution.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT).
• Current license as Registered Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Specific certifications such as PALS, ACLS, and NRP are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic testing procedures according to protocol.
• Administers medications in a timely and safe manner and communicates patient progress.
• Maintains awareness of patient condition and collaborates with physicians and nurses.
• Completes documentation and monitors supplies and equipment according to standards.
• Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives and attends departmental meetings.
• Promotes the profession of Respiratory Care and supports staff development.
• May float to other departments as needed and may be placed on-call during shifts.
