Job summary

KLA Industries, Inc. is seeking a Roadway / Utility Superintendent for night work in the Winston-Salem area. You will lead field crews on highway, grading, and underground utility projects with NCDOT work, coordinating schedules, safety, and inspections.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in heavy civil, DOT night work, and the ability to read plans. Relocation to the Triad is welcome as part of a stable, long-running program.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway and/or underground utility experience at superintendent or senior foreman level.
• Proven night work experience on DOT roadway or utility projects.
• Reading plans and specs; accurate quantity tracking.
• Knowledge of grading, drainage, water/sewer installation, and paving sequencing.
• Strong work zone traffic control understanding.
• Ready to work a heavy night schedule.
• NCDOT project experience is a plus.
• OSHA 30 is a plus.
• HCSS HeavyJob or similar field tracking is a plus.
• Based in the Triad or willing to relocate to Winston-Salem.

Responsibilities

• Run night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects.
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and their foremen.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries; plan the work and shift schedule.
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift.
• Set up and manage traffic control and lane closures within night work windows.
• Work directly with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.
• Track installed quantities and daily production.
• Complete daily reports and field documentation.
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and day side of the job.
