Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Sunnyside Medical Center is seeking a qualified RN to provide nursing care with strong clinical judgment. You will assess, plan, direct, provide and evaluate patient care, coordinating with the care team to meet discharge needs.

The role requires recent Med/Surg experience or RN experience in acute care settings, Oregon RN license, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification within 3 months of hire. Shift: Night, part-time, on-site.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in Oregon.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate multi-system assessments and reassesses patient throughout hospitalization.
• Develops and documents an individualized nursing plan of care and coordinates discharge planning.
• Initiates and documents nursing care per physician plan and hospital policies; administers medications per protocol.
• Evaluates patient response to treatment and participates in unit quality assurance activities.
