Job summary

Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center, part of Kaiser Permanente Northwest, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care across medical/surgical units. The role involves comprehensive assessments, care planning, implementing physician orders, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Requires RN license in Oregon, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification within 3 months. Schedule is part-time with 36 hours per week, day shift, on-site in Clackamas, Oregon.

Qualifications

• Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
• One (1) year recent Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting OR one (1) year RN experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assessment of patients including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care and discharge planning needs.
• Develops an individualized nursing plan of care and coordinates with other departments and community agencies.
• Initiates measures per protocol and administers medications as prescribed.
• Evaluates patient progress and participates in unit quality assurance activities.
