Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Northwest is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center in Oregon. This part-time evening shift (30 hours weekly) requires on-site work and active involvement in nursing care planning and coordination with care teams.

The role emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care per protocols within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
• One (1) year of current ED experience or successful completion of the Kaiser Permanente New Grad Internship Program in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: standard of performance: Performs accurate multi-system assessments, including; biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs and discharge planning needs.
• Planning: standard of performance: Develops an individual nursing plan of care. Nursing plan of care is sensitive to the developmental needs of the patient.
• Implementation: standard of performance: Initiates appropriate measures based on protocol for the management of the medical and/or surgical patient.
• Evaluation: standard of performance: Evaluates assessment methods, plan of care, and patients response to treatment.
