Job summary

Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care (Step down) unit at St. Elizabeth Health Center.

You will deliver high-quality patient care, collaborate with the care team, and ensure safe, evidence-based plans of care for diverse patients. Key requirements include RN licensure, BLS (ACLS preferred at hire and ACLS within 6 months), and 1 year of RN experience with 6 months in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire, ACLS required within 6 months of hire).
• 1 year of RN experience (required).
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
• Serves as point of contact for patients’ care coordination throughout hospital departments.
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures.

Education

Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)
