Northwell Health's Danbury Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for Progressive Care (PCU) to provide bedside nursing in a high-acuity setting. You’ll perform assessments, develop care plans, and collaborate with the interprofessional team to deliver safe, compassionate patient care.

Shift is 7:00pm–7:30am, 36 control hours; CT RN license and BLS required; weekend/holiday coverage as contracted. Hospital offers competitive hourly rates and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• CT RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum six months of Step-Down / PCU RN experience.

Responsabilités

• Performs assessments in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychological & cognitive status.
• Formulates a goal directed plan of care which is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis & patient outcomes.
• Implements care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent and continuous manner.
• Establishes priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available resources.
• Evaluates effectiveness of care given and patient progression toward outcomes.
• Identifies patient's/significant other's learning needs and implements appropriate measures to meet them.
• Coordinates interdisciplinary functions.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
