UC San Diego Health is seeking an RN for the 7 West PCU at the Hillcrest Campus. This 90% appointment roles requires Night shifts on a 12-hour schedule, including Sundays and Saturdays.

The unit emphasizes autonomous nursing care within ANA standards, with Magnet-designated care and high patient outcomes. Candidates should have acute care RN experience at the step-down/IMU/PCU level, California RN license, and current BLS/CPR and ACLS; ART within six months is required.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• RN license issued by the State of California.
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six months.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience at the step-down, IMU, PCU, or Telemetry level of care or higher acuity.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with empathy and kindness to staff and patients.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage multiple information and responsibilities.
