Job summary

Northwell Health's Danbury Hospital in Connecticut seeks an experienced RN for the NICU to provide comprehensive care during Eve/Night shifts. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a designated group of NICU patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity setting.

Requirements include CT RN license, at least 6 months NICU experience, BLS, and NRP certification (or obtain within 3 months). PALS/ACLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• State CT RN license is required.
• Minimum of 6 months of NICU RN experience.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP certification required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• PALS or ACLS preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments in an ongoing, systematic manner focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status.
• Forms a goal-directed plan of care prioritized by nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes.
• Implements care in a knowledgeable, skillful, and continuous manner.
• Establishes priorities of patient care based on essential needs and available resources.
• Evaluates effectiveness of care and patient progression toward outcomes.
• Identifies patient/family learning needs and implements appropriate measures.
• Coordinates interdisciplinary functions.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
