Job summary

Williamson Health in Franklin, TN seeks a Registered Nurse for the Postpartum/Nursery unit on a full-time night shift. You will provide obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care with emphasis on holistic patient well-being and education.

The role requires TN RN licensure, nursing degree, and perinatal experience. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care and safety for mothers and newborns.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the State of Tennessee as a registered nurse.
• Earned a nursing diploma/degree from an accredited program.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Perinatal experience preferred (1+ year).
• NRP within 90 days of hire.
• STABLE certification or willingness to obtain within six months.
• ACLS/ALS preferred.
• Able to return to work within 1 hour when on call.
• Perinatal/OB-GYN unit experience required or preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English clearly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments on admission and during care.
• Plan individualized nursing care and outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge needs.
• Administer medications and monitor responses per policy.
• Document accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Reassess patient condition and adjust care plan as needed.
• Demonstrate teamwork and leadership in unit duties and on-call coverage.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
