Qualifications

• Tennessee RN license required.
• Nursing diploma/degree required.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• NRP within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS/ALS certification or willingness to obtain within six months.
• Care of the Obstetric Patient – Level I within 1 year of hire.
• Care of the High Risk Obstetric Patient – Level II within 1 year of hire.”
• VUMC Advanced Fetal Monitoring or AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments on obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic patients.
• Plan individualized care and nursing interventions with measurable outcomes.
• Provide patient education and discharge planning.
• Administer medications and solutions safely according to policy.
• Document accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Reassess patient condition and adjust care as needed.
• Assist with staffing and maintain a safe care environment.
• Maintain professional appearance and comply with policy and competency standards.
