Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis, TN is seeking a Registered Nurse for Post Acute Rehab Nursing on the night shift. You will provide professional nursing care to patients, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in assigned areas.

Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, documentation, patient education, and collaboration with the medical team to ensure high-quality, safe care and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing school/program Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
• RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure to work in state of TN. Upon Hire Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
• Experience in caring for patients in an inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care according to medical regimen and the nursing interventions appropriate for the patients' conditions and according to established standards, policies and procedures.
• Initiates assessment based on the patient's presenting problems or needs, and the physician's diagnosis.
• Collects key information from patient, family, laboratory, and other medical reports and ensures consents are signed.
• Determines nursing diagnoses and priorities for care with focus on patient teaching, discharge planning, and growth/development needs.
• Documents assessment and nursing diagnoses or clinical judgments.
• Demonstrates knowledge, technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills to provide care and meet patient needs.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions as ordered by the Physician and coordinates referrals.
• Maintains patient medical records and uses computer systems to enter and retrieve data.
• Collaborates with patient/family and hospital staff to promote patient satisfaction and safety.
