Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing required.
• Current registered nurse’s license in the State of Texas required.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• NIHSS certification within six months of hire.
• TNCC/TCAR certification within six months of hire.
• ENLS certification preferred for NSICU.
• Cross training to like areas may be required.
• Willingness to be trained for charge nurse.
• Willingness to become a preceptor after two years of nursing experience.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Proficiency in English – verbal and written and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Directs and coordinates nursing care for ICU-CCU patients based on established standards.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure effective patient care delivery.
• Maintains patient safety and quality of care according to hospital policies.
• Participates in shift reports and ensures accurate documentation.
