Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time night shift (3:3) in Transitional Holding. You will advocate for patients, assist physicians, and collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality nursing care.

Requirements include Texas RN license, BSN preferred, ACLS within 3 months, PALS/NRP within 6 months for Women’s Hospital, strong communication, and English proficiency. Previous acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license.
• ACLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• PALS/NRP certification within 6 months for Women’s Hospital employees.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; English required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; clear communication with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values in daily practice.
• Ensures care aligns with Texas Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.
• Provides effective and efficient patient care management.
• Demonstrates leadership skills within established lines of authority.
• Maintains professional competence via continuing education and other learning experiences.
• Addresses patient needs during admission to the operating room and during procedures.
• Follows approved operating room procedures for scheduled procedures.
• Adheres to hospital policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines.
• Responds promptly to patient and physician needs.
• Supports Infection Control, Safety and Risk Management programs.
