Job summary

TriHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Observation Unit/Clinical Decision Unit at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. This full-time night shift role focuses on short-term monitoring and rapid clinical decisions, with a structured orientation and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• New hires must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Active Registered Nurse license.
• BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers).
• Strong nursing knowledge built from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of patient and family.
• Develops and updates individualized plans of care with short- and long-term goals.
• Provides safe, therapeutic, culturally sensitive patient care while protecting autonomy and dignity.
• Recognizes and responds to emergency or rapidly evolving clinical situations.
• Completes all assigned patient care and documentation within scheduled timeframes.
• Communicates assessment findings to physicians and health care team.
• Serves as a resource to staff and supports clinical learning.

Education
