Job summary

TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati is seeking a Registered Nurse for Behavioral Health on the full-time night shift. The position supports adults 18+ in inpatient units with twelve-hour shifts, weekend rotation, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus with a 12‑month commitment.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, receive a 5–6 week orientation, CPI de-escalation training, and access a comprehensive benefits package with shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing required.
• BSN within 5 years of hire preferred.
• BLS/CPR required for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document initial and ongoing patient/family assessments.
• Develop, communicate, and update individualized plans of care, including discharge planning.
• Provide safe, patient-centered care that supports autonomy, dignity, and diversity.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies and take appropriate clinical action.
• Carry out physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Complete assigned care and documentation within required timeframes.
• Administer medications/treatments safely and perform technical skills per policy.
• Evaluate patient responses and revise the plan of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Supervise and delegate tasks appropriately to other team members.
• Serve as a clinical resource and support training/education of staff and students.
• Maintain current clinical knowledge and adhere to organizational and departmental standards.
