Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neuro Intermediate Care unit at Mount Carmel East provides care within the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, focusing on neurological med/surg and progressive care patients. You will work 12-hour night shifts on a 32-bed unit and support patient families with compassionate, evidence-based nursing care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care, including delegation to and supervision of other care team members.
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients; assist with examinations and treatments; perform basic procedures under provider supervision.
• Administer medications per organizational standards and guidelines.
• Assist in emergency situations under provider direction.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and care plans.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
• Support care provided by licensed and unlicensed staff as appropriate.
